We`re
leaving Emen tomorrow morning… I don`t want to leave this place. However, we`ll
be back someday. But first before we leave, we felt obliged to jump into the
pool to cool off a bit from the heat. We all love swimming and though it was a
small pool, we enjoyed it. Apparently, us, girls, are braver than boys, since
we were the first to get into the cool water. ;)

The
beginning of summer is the perfect time for herbs collecting. And Emen was a favourable place for it. What`s
more, a few days ago Bulgarians celebrated Eniovden – a day for herbs
collection, so we decided to make our contribution and stick to the traditions.
First, we all took samples from 4 types of trees for Dayan`s Biology assignment
– oak, beech, … , then
the girls and I went to the fields to collect herbs - …, and to “borrow” some sunflowers.
We then made a bunch of wreaths. It was such a pleasure for me – a lot of creativity today! J
I love this
type of excursions out in the nature. There is plenty of time for mountain
hiking! And when you walk around such a scenic area, you have no other choice but to be
in harmony with yourself and with the environment. The Emen Canyon is extremely
beautuful and it`s the perfect place for adventures with all its river
meanders, sheer cliffs and the Momin skok waterfall deeply hidden between them.
This is actually the first waterfall I see and I can say I`m quite impressed –
the heavy booming stream, falling from the rocks and the greenish blue water in the
“bay” – what a symphony of colours! What a serenity!
